Also known as: Belotero Balance, Belotero Intense, Belotero Volume, Belotero Lips
What is Belotero?
Belotero is made by Merz Aesthetics, the same company behind Radiesse and Bocouture. CPM technology (Cohesive Polydensified Matrix) gives a gel with varying cross-linking density in the same syringe — soft where it needs to be soft and firm where it needs to be firm. The result is seamless integration in tissue.
How Belotero works
The CPM structure makes the product flow evenly in thin skin without forming the Tyndall effect (bluish shimmer that can show with HA in thin skin). Different versions in the range have different densities: Balance for fine lines, Intense for deeper folds, Volume for structure, Lips for lips.
Belotero at Dibélle
At Dibélle, Belotero is used mainly for specific indications where other fillers may show or cause Tyndall: tear trough, upper lip lines, fine lines around the mouth. Not the main portfolio but a complement for precision work.
Results and safety
Results are visible immediately and last 6-12 months depending on product and area. As HA, it can be dissolved with Hylase. Belotero has low Tyndall and nodule risk compared with firmer HA fillers, making it a safe choice in precision areas.
Common questions about Belotero
- What is CPM technology?
- Cohesive Polydensified Matrix — Merz's patented cross-linking method that creates a gel with varying density in the same syringe. This gives seamless integration in tissue without visible particles or Tyndall effect.
- Belotero or Restylane for tear trough?
- Belotero Balance has lower Tyndall risk in thin periorbital skin than Restylane Refyne. For conservative tear trough treatment, Belotero is often safer. For firmer structure, Restylane or Juvéderm may suit better.
- How long does Belotero last?
- It depends on the product: Balance lasts 6-9 months, Intense 9-12 months, Volume 12-18 months, Lips 6-9 months. The difference from other HA brands is not durability but precision properties.
- Can Belotero be dissolved?
- Yes. Because Belotero is hyaluronic acid, it can be dissolved with the enzyme Hylase within 24-48 hours.
