What is Dermapen and how does it work?
Dermapen4 is a microneedling pen with 16 ultra-fine needles that create microscopic channels in the skin. This triggers the body's natural healing response and stimulates new collagen production, resulting in improved skin quality. At Dibélle in Helsingborg, the treatment is performed by a licensed nurse.
Does Dermapen treatment hurt?
A numbing cream is applied before the treatment and left on for 30 minutes. Most people experience only a mild prickling sensation. The skin may be red and feel warm immediately afterwards, similar to a mild sunburn.
How long is the recovery time after Dermapen?
The skin is typically red for 1 to 3 days. You can return to everyday activities immediately but should avoid makeup, strong sun exposure and strenuous exercise for the first 24 hours.
How many Dermapen treatments do I need?
For best results, 3 to 6 treatments spaced 4 to 6 weeks apart are recommended. You can see improvements in skin texture and radiance even after a single treatment.
