Frequently asked questions about Biostimulators
What is Profhilo and how does it differ from filler?
Profhilo is a skin booster, not a filler. Instead of adding volume, the highly concentrated hyaluronic acid spreads beneath the skin and stimulates your own production of collagen and elastin. The result is firmer and more radiant skin from within. At Dibélle in Helsingborg, the treatment is performed by a licensed nurse.
How many treatments are needed?
Typically, 2 to 3 treatments spaced approximately one month apart are recommended for optimal results. The effect improves gradually over the first few months.
Does Profhilo hurt?
Profhilo is injected at 5 specific points (the BAP technique) on each side of the face. Most people describe it as a slight pinch. The treatment takes only 15 to 20 minutes.
How long does Profhilo last?
The effect typically lasts 6 to 12 months. Follow-up treatments are recommended to maintain results.
