What is PRP treatment for the face?
PRP (platelet-rich plasma) involves taking a blood sample, separating the growth-factor-rich plasma through centrifugation, and injecting it into the facial skin. The growth factors stimulate collagen production and cell renewal naturally. At Dibélle in Helsingborg, the treatment is performed by a licensed nurse.
Why is PRP called the vampire facial?
The name comes from the fact that the treatment uses your own blood. The plasma that is injected is rich in growth factors that rejuvenate the skin, completely natural and free from synthetic substances.
How long do PRP results last?
Results build up gradually over 4 to 8 weeks and typically last 12 to 18 months. For best results, 2 to 3 treatments spaced a few weeks apart are recommended.
Can I combine PRP with other treatments?
Yes, PRP combines excellently with Dermapen (known as a vampire facial) for enhanced results. The growth factors from PRP are absorbed more deeply through the microchannels created by Dermapen.
