What is PROFHILO? PROFHILO is a hyaluronic acid of the highest concentration. The treatment is an injection treatment that provides immediate and long-term improvement of the skin's structure and quality, while also minimizing lines and restoring the skin's firmness. Unlike hyaluronic acid in the form of fillers, PROFHILO does not provide any volumizing effect. The purpose of the treatment is instead to increase hydration in a larger area or to tighten the skin in various regions. How does PROFHILO work? Hyaluronic acid occurs naturally in the body and helps the body maintain moisture as well as contribute to collagen production. Hyaluronic acid is found in the skin, in joints, and in other connective tissue. As the skin ages, the production of hyaluronic acid decreases, causing the skin to lose radiance and firmness, and fine lines and wrinkles become more prominent. PROFHILO restores the skin's moisture and hyaluronic acid reserves. How is the treatment performed? PROFHILO is an injection treatment performed just beneath the outermost layer of the skin. In the epidermis, the hyaluronic acid spreads in a controlled manner and interacts with the skin's tissue to immediately reactivate natural hydration. As a result, the production of elastin and collagen increases, providing smoother, firmer, and more even skin. Common areas treated with PROFHILO include the face, neck, hands, and arms. When are results visible? The effect is partially immediate, with maximum effect two months after the completed treatment. Typically, three treatments are recommended with one month between each. Thereafter, the treatment can be repeated, for example, 1–2 times per year to maintain the effect.
