Sculptra

Sculptra is a biostimulator containing poly-L-lactic acid (PLLA), a biodegradable substance used in aesthetic medicine in the EU for over 20 years. Unlike fillers that add volume instantly, Sculptra stimulates your skin's fibroblasts to produce new collagen. Hyaluronic acid fillers provide immediate volume but break down after 6 to 12 months. Sculptra works differently: it stimulates your body's own collagen production, meaning the result develops over several weeks and can last up to two years. Typically 2 to 3 treatments are needed, spaced 4 to 6 weeks apart, depending on the degree of skin laxity being treated. The result builds progressively after each session, and the full effect is visible after approximately 3 to 6 months.

Sculptra results can last up to 2 years, as the collagen that forms remains even after the PLLA particles have broken down. Many choose a maintenance treatment after 12 to 18 months to extend the effect.
