What does a facial treatment include?
A professional facial is more than a face mask from a jar. Every step has a purpose:
Skin analysis starts every visit. We look at pores, sebum production, hydration balance, any redness, and signs of sun damage. Without analysis, it is impossible to choose the right products.
Cleansing and steam opens the pores and dissolves dirt and oil that sits deeper than home cleansing can reach. The steam softens the skin in preparation for exfoliation.
Exfoliation removes dead skin cells from the surface. It gives immediate radiance and helps subsequent products absorb better. We choose the exfoliation based on your skin type, never one and the same for everyone.
Pore extraction is done manually where needed. Properly performed extraction reduces the risk of inflamed pimples and blackheads.
Massage of the face, décolletage, and sometimes the scalp stimulates blood circulation and lymph flow. The result is less swelling and a natural rosiness that comes from within.

Your skin type determines which treatment will give the best result. Here is a guide:
Dry skin
Dry skin lacks lipids and often has a sensation of tightness. The skin can flake, look matte, and have fine lines emphasised by dehydration.
We recommend: Facial Luxe 50 min with an extra hydrating mask and hyaluronic acid serum. For pronounced dryness, Profhilo can provide deep hydration that lasts for months.
Oily and acne-prone skin
Overactive sebaceous glands produce a shiny surface, enlarged pores, and a risk of inflammation. The temptation to wash often usually makes the problem worse.

How often should you have a facial?
Frequency depends on the type of treatment and what you want to achieve:
Classic facials: every 4 to 6 weeks. This follows the skin's natural turnover cycle of roughly 28 days. Regularity gives better results than occasional visits.
Dermapen: a series of 3 to 4 treatments with 4 to 6 weeks between, then maintenance once or twice a year.
Chemical peels: depends on the strength. Mild peels can be done every other week in a series. Medium-depth peels with longer intervals.
PRP: usually 3 treatments with 4 weeks between, then maintenance every 6 to 12 months.

How to prepare for your visit

- Arrive with clean skin without make-up if you can, it saves time.

Does a facial treatment hurt?
No, a classic facial should be comfortable. Extraction can give slight discomfort, but most people experience the treatment as relaxing. Medical treatments such as Dermapen are done with numbing cream.
Can I wear make-up directly after?
After a classic facial you can wear make-up a few hours later. We do recommend, however, letting the skin breathe for the rest of the day if possible. After medical treatments such as Dermapen or chemical peels, you should wait at least 24 hours.
How quickly will I see results?
A classic facial gives immediate improvement: skin looks fresher and cleaner straight away. Medical treatments build results over time, with the full effect often visible after 4 to 8 weeks.
Is a facial suitable for all ages?
Yes. Teenagers with acne can benefit greatly from extraction and the right products. In your 30s and 40s, collagen stimulation becomes relevant. The skin benefits from professional care regardless of age.
