About the treatment

We take a small blood sample, separate the plasma through centrifugation and inject the concentrated, growth factor-rich plasma directly into the scalp. The treatment takes about 45 minutes. PRP stimulates hair follicles to go from a resting phase to an active growth phase. The hair strands gradually become thicker and stronger. Results appear progressively with maximum effect after three months, and the effect typically lasts up to 18 months. We recommend 1 to 4 treatments per year with 6 to 12 weeks apart. Some swelling and minor bruising may occur immediately afterwards but pass quickly. PRP for the scalp requires a steady hand across the entire area. How the treatment unfolds

  1. 24 h beforePreparation

    Avoid alcohol and blood thinners such as ibuprofen and aspirin during the last 24 hours. Arrive without makeup — it speeds up the visit since we won't need to cleanse first.

  2. Right afterThe first hours

    No exercise, and sleep upright the first night. Don't rub or massage the treated area. Mild redness or swelling is normal and resolves within hours to a day.

  3. 48 h afterSkin and routines

    Avoid sauna, sunbeds and heavy facial treatments for two days. Hold off on makeup directly on the treated area the same day. Otherwise you can return to your routine as normal.

  4. 2 weeksComplimentary follow-up

    We always book a follow-up at no extra cost. Abir reviews your result with you and can adjust if needed.

Results vary from person to person — Abir reviews your specific outcome and any adjustments in person. Treatment takes place no earlier than 48 hours after consultation, in accordance with the legally required reflection period.
