The question arrives with a finger on the price list, and it arrives most weeks. What is the difference between a lash lift and a Korean lash lift? The two rows look alike. The gap in price is there in black and white, but not what it buys. The answer is how much of the lash gets worked.

A price list is poor at explaining itself. Picture the difference between bending a hair in one single spot and shaping it along its whole length. Curl at the root alone and the lash rises, but the rest of the hair keeps the angle it already had, which is why the tips can splay in different directions on lashes that are long or stiff.

Korean lash lift runs all the way out toward the tip, so the curve carries on rather than breaking part way up the lash. The lift comes out softer and the curve more even. Both versions hold for 6 to 8 weeks, and Diana finishes with a keratin-enriched serum.

Brow lamination redirects the brow hairs: Diana softens them with a solution, combs them the way the shape calls for, and fixes them in place with a keratin emulsion. The effect shows straight away and holds for 6 to 8 weeks, and Brow Lamination costs 600 SEK.

Much as when you comb a tuft of hair one way and pin it down, the whole treatment is about direction rather than quantity. You do not get more hairs. You get the ones you have to sit where you want them.

Two starting points have the most to gain here. One is brows that splay, where the hairs grow in different directions and the shape gives way an hour or so after you brushed it up. The other is gaps in the shape, where the hairs lie beside the empty patch instead of across it, and once Diana combs them up and locks them in place they cover the ground that would otherwise show through.

Lamination creates no new hairs. Where hair is missing entirely across a section of the brow, the treatment leaves the gap unfilled, and Diana says so before she starts combing.
