About the treatment
The technique involves injecting a small amount of botulinum toxin into the muscle that lifts the upper lip, the levator labii superioris. When that muscle is slightly dampened, the lip does not pull up as high when smiling, and less gum is exposed. Your teeth still show beautifully and naturally, but the proportions of your smile change for the better. The treatment takes just a few minutes and most people find it relatively painless. Full effect is achieved within 10 to 14 days. The result typically lasts 3 to 4 months, and with regular visits, the effect tends to last longer. All injection treatments are performed by a registered nurse. A complimentary follow-up is included within 14 days. We do not treat pregnant, breastfeeding individuals or those under 18.
